New custom fit aluminum Silencers for most vintage bikes
Silencers
The silencer parts are made out of 6061 billet aluminum. The tubes are 2 1/2" o.d. round vintage style. The front cone and spigot are Tig welded into position and the end cap pieces are machined out of solid rounds and  tubes.
Expensive for materials and time to produce. But I wanted the best machined quality silencer I could put on my vintage restoration . Like my custom built aluminum tanks I build for my vintage bikes, I wanted the best silencer I was capable of building, and since I was building it for my own bikes the cost wasn't a factor.
Since then I have built some silencers for a couple of friends bikes, I have come up with a
way to build these in a slow production manner and having a machinist background and Tig welding experience I do it all right in my own shop. Silencers weigh about 1/2 of what the stock steel silencers weighed.
I have two types of end cap; a Standard Round version and a Vintage style circlip model. The standard version has three stainless steel machine screws which hold the end cap in place. I recommend lightly snugging the screws back in place with some medium lock tite on these threads whenever re-inserting the screws. A very comparably priced, machined quality silencer to compete with what is out on the market now..  The Vintage Round Circlip model is approaching the look and functionality of the original vintage silencers of the day. The circlip holds the end cap in tight to the body of the tube which will eliminate most any shaking and rattling around. A good snug machinist fit with enough tolerance given between the parts for easy removal of the end cap and core..
The cores come out with the end cap for easy packing changes. The tubes are a standard length of about 15" and come with a two piece mount of 1/8" aluminum plate, which is welded itself around the top of the mount to make a 1/4" thick mount. In the mount is the correct rubber grommet and a
chrome molly bushing with a hole size for your 8mm bolt. All silencers come packed with  FMF 2 stroke packing material installed. I weld the mounts on the tube in a straight line. If you need a "cant" to the mount you can bend it to your liking once you receive the tube..
Some adjustment is typical with most pipe/bike/silencer installations and you may have to make some adjustments to your pipe mount just like you probably would with any aftermarket silencer you tried.  Standard end cap screws will be lock tited with medium strength lock tite when they are shipped out, ready to bolt on and go..     Knowing how tough it is to find a quality silencer for so many vintage bikes out there I hope this web page and product will help you finish your bike with a quality part..
